Skin Soothing Soak for Dogs

For the dog who has decided that itchy paws are now a full-time hobby.

Skin Soothing Soak is a loose botanical blend designed to make a gentle herbal tea for dry, itchy, or irritated canine skin. Calendula, chamomile, plantain, nettle, and marshmallow root come together in a versatile blend that can be used as a paw soak, rinse, or localized compress.

No essential oils. No added fragrance. And no wrestling your dog into an entire bathtub when one irritated paw is causing all the drama.

Use it three ways: Brew it as a paw soak for itchy or uncomfortable feet, pour the cooled infusion over irritated areas as a rinse, or soak a clean cloth in the infusion and use it as a targeted compress.

Suggested use: Steep ½ teaspoon per cup of hot water for 10 minutes. Strain well and allow to cool completely to room temperature or chill before applying. Use as a paw soak, rinse, or compress for approximately 3–5 minutes. A compress may be left in place for up to 30 minutes if your dog tolerates it comfortably.

Our favorite trick for stubborn paws: Soak a soft cloth in the cooled infusion and wring out most of the liquid. Wrap the paw, secure loosely with a baby sock for 5–10 minutes, remove and gently dry, then follow with Paw & Pad Herbal Repair Salve.

The dog still has the little grippers on the sock for balance and confidence. Plus the tighter elastic at the ankle makes for a nice and gentle option for the sock to stay on and prevent licking. Please remove the sock at the end of treatment so that moisture is not trapped in with the paw, which can lead to other issues.
